RPG-HUD transforms the standard Minecraft heads-up display into an interface inspired by popular RPGs and MMORPGs. Instead of rows of hearts and drumsticks, you get clean bars for health, hunger, experience, breath and horse jumping, along with a character widget and optional numeric values for health, stamina and experience.
The mod also adds handy widgets. A clock shows the world time in 24-hour or 12-hour format, and a compass displays the direction you are heading; both can be set to an immersive mode where they only appear when you carry the matching item. Item details reveal armor and tool durability, how many of the held block you still have, and which arrows your bow will fire. EntityInspect shows the health and armor of any creature you look at, while status effects appear with timers and can be resized or stacked vertically.
Every element can be freely repositioned, and you can choose between several HUD styles: Vanilla, Simple, Default, Extended, Full Texture and the smooth, transparent Modern HUD. If another mod conflicts, debug settings let you disable individual parts or the rendering events other mods rely on.
