Bohemia Interactive released the Rally DLC for Arma Reforger on 5 November 2026, alongside the free Update 1.9. The DLC brings a single-player racing mode to the game, letting players pick from three rally cars and race against the clock on six tracks spread across the islands of Everon, Arland and Kolguyev.
Six tracks, three islands
The routes cut through wooded bends, across an airfield and down volcanic slopes, turning roads players normally just drive past into actual racing challenges. Race conditions can be customised, so finding the right balance between speed and control on each corner is part of the learning curve.
Three cars with different personalities
The Šárka 105 RS gets a 130-horsepower engine, a five-speed gearbox and a wider body kit, turning a familiar vehicle into something far more aggressive. The Sputnik 600 RS is the lightweight oddball of the bunch, running a two-stroke engine built for quick corners rather than daily driving. The Dana 2001 RS sits between the two, offering a more balanced setup while keeping its recognisable Soviet-era look.
As with DLC vehicles in Arma 3, only owners of the Rally DLC can drive these cars. Players without it can still ride along as passengers.
A bigger overhaul under the hood
Update 1.9 is free for everyone, DLC or not, and it reworks engines, clutches, differentials, wheels, steering, tires and suspension. Manual driving now demands more attention to the clutch, and vehicles with multiple driven axles handle uneven terrain better thanks to improved torque distribution. Support for racing wheels, pedals and shifters with force feedback has been added, along with steadier steering behaviour across keyboard, mouse and controller.
Beyond the driving changes, 1.9 adds a few smaller gameplay features: foliage can now be cleared with a shovel or by building bases, magazines can be repacked to combine leftover ammunition, the LAV-25 gets new equipment options including night vision and smoke launchers, and canteens let players manage hydration for better stamina and steadier aim.
What it means for mod users
Any update that touches vehicle physics this deeply is worth paying attention to if you run mods that add or modify cars, trucks or driving behaviour. Scripts tied to the old handling model, force feedback settings or vehicle configs could behave differently or break outright after 1.9. Back up your mod folder before updating, and check mod pages or community forums for compatibility notes before loading into a modded server. If a favourite vehicle mod suddenly feels off, it is likely reacting to the new engine, suspension or tire physics rather than anything wrong on your end.
