Yes. Browsing and downloading mods is completely free, and uploading your own mods is free too. There are optional PRO and ELITE memberships with extra perks for power users and creators, but you never have to pay to enjoy the site.

No account is needed to browse and download most mods. You only need a free account to upload mods, comment, follow topics, save favorites, or use the community forum.

Open the mod page and click the green download button. Some mods are hosted on trusted external file hosts — you may see a quick "leaving CrashMods" notice before the download starts. That is normal and only appears for external links.

Every uploaded file is automatically scanned with VirusTotal, and mods carry a safety badge showing the scan result. We also block dangerous file types and only allow links to a curated list of trusted hosts. Still, always follow the author’s notes and use common sense.

It depends on the game. For BeamNG.drive, drop the downloaded .zip straight into your BeamNG.drive mods folder (do not unzip it) and enable it in the in-game Mod Manager. For Euro Truck Simulator 2, place the .scs file in Documents → the game → mod and activate it in the Mod Manager. Each mod page also shows game-specific install steps.

First check the game version the mod was made for and make sure it matches yours. Read the author’s notes for load order or requirements, and check the comments on the mod page — other players often share fixes. You can also open a topic in the community forum.

Create a free account, then click Submit Mod in the top menu. Fill in the title, description, game and category, add screenshots and the download link or file, and submit. A live preview shows exactly how your mod will look before you publish.

Yes. You can sell a mod or offer a monthly creator subscription, and the money goes directly to you — CrashMods takes no commission and never touches the payment. You can accept payments via PayPal, on-site card / Google Pay (Stripe), or your own store (Payhip / Gumroad / Lemon Squeezy). See the Earn with your mods page for details.

Free (LITE) accounts have a generous daily upload limit; PRO and ELITE members get higher limits plus extra perks like featured slots and better placement in the “Newest” ranking. The mod archive plus its screenshots count as one submission, on a rolling 24-hour window.

Yes. Open your mod and use the Edit button to update the description, version, screenshots or download link. You can also remove a mod you uploaded at any time.

Click “Register” or “Log in” in the top-right corner. You can sign up with an email and password, and staff members can enable two-factor authentication (2FA) for extra security.

On the login window click the “Forgot password” link and enter your email. You’ll receive a reset link by email; open it and choose a new password.

Yes. On your Edit Profile page you’ll find a “Download my data” card that exports everything we store about you (as a readable file or JSON). You can also request account deletion — get in touch via the Contact page and we’ll remove your data.

Use the flag switcher in the top-right corner to switch between English and Hungarian. English is the default; your choice is remembered on your device.

PRO and ELITE unlock higher upload limits, featured spotlight slots, better placement in the “Newest” ranking and other perks. ELITE also removes ads across the site. See the Pricing page for the full feature comparison.

Memberships are billed monthly (or yearly with two months free) via secure card / Google Pay checkout. You can cancel anytime from your account — your access stays active until the end of the period you already paid for.

Every file is virus-scanned, download links are limited to trusted hosts, and dangerous file types are blocked. Members can report any mod, comment, gallery image or user with the “Report” button, and our staff reviews reports quickly. If in doubt, reach us via the Contact page.

Use the “Report” button available on mods, comments, forum posts, gallery images and profiles. For anything else, reach us through the Contact page.

The community forum is where you can ask for help, share setups, request mods and chat with other players. You can follow a topic to get a notification (and an email) whenever someone posts a new reply.
