DMCA / Copyright Policy
CrashMods respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. We respond to clear and complete notices of claimed copyright infringement in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and comparable laws.
How to send a takedown notice
If you believe that content on CrashMods infringes your copyright, please send a written notice containing:
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
- The exact URL(s) of the material you want removed.
- Your contact information (full name, address, phone number, e-mail).
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on the owner’s behalf.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Where to send it
Submit your notice from the Contact page and pick “Copyright / DMCA” as the subject, or e-mail us at the address shown there. We typically action valid notices within a few business days.
Counter-notice
If your content has been removed and you believe this was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice containing the same kind of details as above, plus your consent to the jurisdiction of the applicable courts. We will forward it to the original claimant; if they do not file a lawsuit within 10–14 business days, we may restore the material.
Repeat infringers
Accounts that repeatedly upload infringing material will be terminated.
