TMCraft plugs a full crafting tree into Cobblemon so teaching moves becomes a survival goal rather than a lucky find. Technical machines are put together from Blank Discs at a crafting table, and the recipe set now covers TMs from every generation.
Blank Discs come in tiers made from Copper, Iron, Gold, Diamond and Netherite, with an Emerald variant reserved for status moves, and a Move Upgrade Smithing Template pushes a disc up to the next tier. Beyond ordinary TMs there are Egg Move Items for moves normally passed down through breeding, Tutor Move Items for tutor-only moves, and Star Move Items that force a move onto a Pokemon that could never learn it. Move Recorders convert into whichever of these items matches on use.
Villagers take part too. Move Tutor villagers sell Tutor Move Items and Pokemon Breeder villagers sell Egg Move Items, which gives a steady way to pick up moves you have not unlocked yet. Following Gen IX rules, move items are consumed when used and cannot teach egg or tutor moves as plain TMs, though the consumeMoveItemOnUse game rule lets a server switch consumption off for every move item type at once. A recipe-viewing mod is well worth running alongside it.
Server admins are not left out either. A companion data pack covers recipes that are deliberately kept out of the mod itself and works as a template, so a pack maker can decide which extra moves stay craftable on their world.
