Vampires Need Umbrellas is a small addon for the Vampirism mod that deals with its most basic problem: daylight. The umbrellas it adds grant Sun Protection, so a vampire character no longer has to fear the sun in Minecraft.
There are four types, made from iron, gold, diamond and netherite, and each one has a different durability. Every type also comes in sixteen different colours. Those durability values are not fixed either, so a world or a server can make umbrellas last far longer or wear out much faster.
Using an umbrella applies a speed modifier by default, and that value is configurable too, so it can be softened or set to zero. Baubles and Curios are supported as well, and from 1.20 the Curios slot is switched on with a data pack rather than a config option.
