Bountiful builds a whole quest loop around a single block. Bounty Boards can be found in villages throughout the world, and they generate Bounties inside them: short contracts that ask you to bring back a set of items or kill a number of mobs. Once the conditions are met you head back to the board, right click it, and collect whatever rewards the contract was offering.
What appears on a board is steered by Decrees. An Armorsmith’s Decree, for example, makes objectives and rewards related to armor show up, such as leather, iron, chestplates and boots. A single board holds up to three Decrees at a time and mixes objectives and rewards from all of them when new bounties appear, so the combination you choose shapes the kind of work on offer. Decrees turn up as rewards for certain bounties, and a crafted one becomes a random type the moment it is placed on the board.
Bounties follow the same rarity pattern as vanilla items, running from Common through Uncommon and Rare to Epic, with higher rarity contracts carrying a better chance of rare rewards. Every board also has its own Reputation, which goes up as you turn bounties in; the higher it gets, the more often rare bounties appear, and some rewards do not show up at all until a board knows you well. The result is a steady stream of goals for survival worlds on Minecraft 1.21.1, with added support for items from several other Fabric mods.
