A bee nest or a hive gives nothing away from the outside, so tracking down a well populated one in Minecraft is mostly guesswork. MoreBeeInfo removes it by showing how many bees are currently inside a nest or hive together with its honey level, so you know exactly what you are looking at before you decide to take it.
Everything happens on the client, so only the player who wants the information needs the mod: nothing has to be installed on the server and other players are unaffected. It is a small quality-of-life addition for anyone farming honey, building up an apiary or searching the world for a hive that is already full of bees.
