Jungle and swamp are two of the biomes vanilla skips when it places villages, so no matter how far you travel through either one, you will never walk into a settlement. Moog’s Missing Villages fills both gaps with villages built in the game’s own style, close to what the developers would plausibly have shipped rather than something that announces itself as an addition.
Because blending in is the whole point, the new settlements follow the same vanilla friendly approach as the villages already in the game instead of pulling the look somewhere else. The practical effect is that hacking through a jungle or wading into a swamp can now end at a village, which quietly changes how worth exploring those biomes feel.
The mod works with Fabric, NeoForge and Quilt, and it can be installed on the server side alone, so a multiplayer world can pick it up without asking every player to add it to their own game. Forge builds were discontinued after 1.20.4. One compatibility point is worth knowing before installing: it does not work alongside Terralith.
