Floating island worlds look their best when you can see past the edge of the land, but vanilla Minecraft cuts that view short. Once you drop below Y=58 the lower half of the skybox suddenly turns solid black, so the islands end up hanging over a flat dark wall instead of open sky. It is a familiar annoyance in any world built around floating terrain.
Clear Void removes that hard boundary. The bottom of the sky no longer flips colour at a fixed height; instead it gradually becomes dark once you go below Y=-32, which keeps the transition smooth as you descend. Full darkness is pushed all the way to 64 blocks beneath the minimum build height, so in normal play you only run into it while dying in the void.
The mod does exactly one job and nothing else, which is why the download weighs only 0.08 MB. It targets Minecraft 1.21.1 and runs on Fabric, NeoForge and Quilt, so it fits into an existing floating island or custom terrain world as a purely visual change.
