Potions in Minecraft all share the same bottle silhouette, which turns a chest full of brews into a guessing game. Distinct Potions fixes that by giving greater and extended variants their own bottle appearance, so a quick look at the hotbar is enough to tell them apart without hovering over every single slot.
Names get the same treatment. Instead of leaning on tooltips, potion names spell out directly whether a brew is lesser, extended or greater. Awkward, mundane and thick potions also receive their own colors, so the base brews at the brewing stand stop looking like ordinary water bottles.
Custom effect colors let you override the tint of any mob effect, either to bring back the look of older Minecraft versions or to design a palette of your own. Potion categories are fully customizable through flexible matching rules and tags, which means modded brews slot into the same system as vanilla ones and brewing, storage and inventory management all stay cleaner in a heavily modded pack.
