AddurDisc is a small Minecraft utility with one clear job: it lets you turn your own audio into playable music discs. Drop an ogg file into the mod’s resource folder inside your game directory, keep the file name to lowercase letters, numbers and the characters – . and _, and the track shows up in game as a disc ready to play.
Presentation is customisable too. A config file controls where the resource folder lives and whether creepers can drop your discs. Switching the refreshLang option off lets you edit a language file so every disc carries the name and description you want, and dropping in replacement texture images gives each record its own artwork.
A couple of audio details matter in practice. Files taken from a music app sometimes carry a cover video stream that stops the game reading the track correctly, so pull out the audio stream first with an audio editor. Converting the file to mono is worth the extra step as well, because that is what the mod needs for stereo, distance attenuation and the other playback effects. On a server the sound resource files have to match on both sides, otherwise players will not hear the same discs.
