X-Ray World Generation turns the look of an x-ray resource pack into an actual world. It is not an x-ray cheat: it overrides the default world generation so that almost all terrain becomes air, while ores and the outer shells of structures are left in place.
The result is a strange and challenging survival setting. You will likely spawn on a coal vein around y=0, floating above the void with nothing else nearby, but at least diamonds are never hard to find.
To play, install the pack and create a new world. Custom world options such as superflat or amplified are not supported, and it does not work with biome mods and may conflict with some terrain mods.
