YUNG’s Better Strongholds rebuilds one of Minecraft’s underground structures from the ground up. What you find down there is far more complex and far more exciting to explore than the vanilla version, while the design still stays true to the themes the base game already uses.
There are over fifteen different rooms to run into, along with various types of tunnels and hallways, staircases, traps for anyone who charges in without looking, and hidden areas for players who search properly. A stronghold stops being a quick detour and turns into a place worth mapping out.
Compatibility with other world generation content was a design goal, so these structures are meant to sit alongside any worldgen mod, including the other YUNG structure sets, Better End and End Remastered. With Repurposed Structures installed and its own strongholds enabled, an Eye of Ender simply guides you to whichever stronghold is closest, no matter which mod placed it there.
YUNG’s API has to be installed alongside it. This NeoForge build targets Minecraft 1.21.1 and stays a small 0.44 MB download.
