Dawn of Time is a building mod for players who care about detail. It brings over 350 building blocks and furniture pieces, each drawn with connected textures and a vanilla friendly palette, grouped into six cultural sets: French, German, Japanese, Persian, Pre-Columbian and Roman. Every set is complete enough to take a build from cellar to rooftop, with walls, windows, doors, railings, mosaics and matching interior furniture.
The Japanese set recreates traditional houses and zen gardens using paper walls, sliding doors, bamboo thatch, grey roof tiles and timber framing, together with tatamis, futons, low tables, paper and stone lanterns, sakura folding screens and an irori fireplace. The Roman set leans on sandstone and marble for columns, friezes, frescoes, floral mosaics and clay roof tiles in several colours, down to a marble statue of Mars and terracotta flower pots. The German set builds half timbered houses and fortified castles from waxed oak and stonebrick, adding shutters, balusters, arrow slits, machicolations, a working portcullis, chimneys and chandeliers, while the Pre-Columbian set uses white and red Plasterhead Stone with ornamented friezes, pillars, braziers and serpent sculptures for temples and ceremonial spaces.
Alongside the blocks there are extras that make building smoother, including a fountain set with waterjets, trickles and pools, and a reworked inventory screen. The mod deliberately sits between light detailing tools and full building overhauls, so small scale, detail oriented projects such as houses, villages and monuments gain depth while still looking like they belong in a vanilla world.
