Writing a book in Minecraft has always been a bare-bones affair: a small screen pinned to the top of the display, no formatting, and no easy way to fix a mistake without retyping the page. Scribble is a client-side mod that rebuilds that experience around the vanilla book and quill, adding colors, text modifiers and a proper set of page controls while deliberately leaving the underlying behaviour untouched.
Page handling is where the mod saves the most time. You can insert or delete a page at any position instead of shuffling the rest of the book around, click the page number to jump straight to a specific page, or hold Shift while turning a page to leap to the end. A toggle shows two pages side by side, and it keeps working with everything else, lecterns included. The book screen itself is centered like the rest of the game’s interfaces rather than stuck against the top edge.
Nothing you write is at risk either. Undo and redo cover every action, closing with unsaved work brings up a confirmation prompt, and books can be saved and loaded again later as backups. Color codes that are already in a book are taken over automatically, so older texts stay editable. Everyone reading the finished book on the server sees the formatting even without the mod installed, and every single feature can be switched on or off in the config.
