Fruits Delight turns fruit into a complete system on top of Farmer’s Delight. Seventeen fruits are added – peach, pear, mango, lychee, hawberry, orange, persimmon, blueberry, lemon, hamimelon, pineapple, mangosteen, cranberry, bayberry, fig, kiwi and durian – and each one leads to its own line of processed food, from jams and jellies to juices, snacks, meals and full feasts. In total there are 90 fruit-based products to work through, plus a dedicated cauldron mixing recipe for jam and jello.
The fruit does not just sit in a creative tab. Eighteen plants generate naturally in the world, fourteen of them fruit trees and four single-block plants, and each species is tied to specific biomes: pear trees in birch forests, hawberries and blueberries in taiga, lychee and mango in the jungle, peach in sparse jungle, lemon trees on the plains, hamimelon in the desert, pineapple on beaches, and durian as a rare find in swamps and jungles. Exploring a new Minecraft world becomes a foraging trip as much as a building one.
Processed food carries seventeen distinct effects that are genuinely useful in survival. Peach dishes heal the entities around you, blueberry food grants night vision and keeps blindness away, orange holds off poison and wither, lemon cancels mining fatigue, persimmon lets you walk on ice as if it were a regular block, cranberry lets you crawl into one-block gaps while sneaking, and bayberry makes the projectiles you fire pass through leaves. Raw fruit gives nothing, so cooking always pays off.
Compatibility is broad. Botany Pots handles easy automatic fruit production, Serene Seasons controls when trees grow and bear fruit, Create automates jam and jello lines, Diet covers most of the food products, and Cuisine Delight lets jams become strange but powerful dishes. Biomes O Plenty and Terralith support spreads the trees across even more biomes. Farmer’s Delight is required, and the mod runs on both Forge and NeoForge for 1.21.1.
