Mythic Metals is a mod about mining. A large variety of new ores is spread through the underground and each one covers its own slice of it, so the search keeps turning up materials you have not run into yet. It does not end in the Overworld either, because some of these ores generate in the Nether and in the End.

Raw ore is only the first step. Once enough of it has been gathered the metals can be smelted, blasted, or forged in an Alloy Forge into pretty metals and unique alloys, and the forge comes with its own interface and with a deepslate variant of the block.

The payoff is the gear. Swords made from these metals are stronger than netherite, one pickaxe can blast straight through an obsidian wall, and there is armor that grows over time. Between the ores, the alloys and the full toolsets, weapons and armor sets, a 1.17.1 Fabric world gains a whole second set of materials to work through.
