Repurposed Structures takes the structures and features the game already generates and spins them into new variants. Rather than inventing a separate theme, it asks what a fortress would look like in a jungle, what a shipwreck would look like in the Nether, or how a village would be built out of birch — and then scatters the answers across the world. The idea started as part of a dimension mod before the structures were split off and grown into a collection of their own.
Because the mod adds no new blocks or mobs, it can run entirely on the server side, and vanilla clients are still able to connect to a world that uses it. Structures are inserted into biomes directly, which keeps conflicts with other worldgen and structure mods rare; several structure mods can generate alongside it without either set disappearing.
Modern versions ship the structures in datapack form, so spawn rates, generation heights, village sizes and whole structures can be changed or turned off without touching code. Modded loot is folded into the structure loot tables by default and can be disabled in the config, and the pool additions system lets multiple datapacks merge new jigsaw pieces into the same template pool without overriding each other. Chests also hide a rare set of collectable banners that only turn up while the Luck effect is active.
