Extreme Reactors is built for players whose machine network has outgrown a row of small generators. It continues the classic Big Reactors design around two flagship multiblocks: reactors that pull energy out of nuclear fuel, and turbines that turn steam into electricity. Running both side by side is the point, not a compromise.
Because the machines are multiblocks, you decide how large they get, and building big is exactly how the mod reaches its efficiency. Energy leaves the structure through Forge Energy Power Taps, so the vast majority of modded machines can be fed directly, and the design is written so that further power systems can be supported.
ZeroCore has to be installed for the mod to load, and adding Patchouli unlocks the in-game manual. Modpack authors are free to include it, and this Forge build targets Minecraft 1.11.2.
