Enchanting Plus takes the gambling out of enchanting. It adds an Advanced Enchanting Table that hands you full control over exactly which enchantments end up on an item and at what level, in exchange for significantly more experience. You can craft the new table in a crafting table, or craft the upgrade item and convert an enchanting table you already have standing in the world.
Using it is straightforward: right click the table, drop an item into the slot near the top, and the centre of the screen fills with every enchantment that item can take. A slider raises or lowers each level, and a bar on the side handles items with more than four options. Green backgrounds mark enchantments you can still modify, red ones mark those blocked by an incompatible choice, so picking Silk Touch takes Fortune off the table. The price is paid in EXP points instead of levels, and the info box in the top left keeps your points, the running cost and a few tips in view.
Curses work differently. The curse of binding and other cursed enchantments only unlock around in-game midnight, on a night when the moon is full, which leaves a four minute real-time window on the seven day moon cycle. Several candles of purple smoke around the table are the sign that every condition has been met. Treasure enchantments are not currently offered through the advanced table.
Configuration covers what matters in a modpack: the EXP cost of certain enchantments can be changed, and specific items or enchantments can be blacklisted from the advanced table entirely. Every enchantment in the game is supported, including those added by other mods, and there is dedicated support for CraftTweaker scripts as well as a Just Enough Items info tab summarising the blocks and items.
