Anvil Never Too Expensive, or ANTE for short, fixes one of the most frustrating anvil limits in Minecraft. Normally the anvil refuses to work once the experience cost climbs past 40 levels, even when you have enough levels to pay. This mod removes that cap entirely, so a well-enchanted tool no longer has to break just because the game decided the repair was too expensive.
You can repair, rename and enchant gear at any cost as long as you can afford it. The interaction still consumes your levels, so the balance of the game stays intact and nothing is given away for free.
The mod is extremely lightweight and should not clash with other mods. It only needs to be installed on the server to work, but installing it on the client as well is recommended: with a server-only setup the Too Expensive text still appears, although the item can still be repaired. There are no configuration options at the moment.
