Picking a mount in Minecraft is normally guesswork, because nothing on screen tells you whether the horse standing in front of you is any better than the last one you tried. Horse Expert closes that gap by putting the animal’s relevant statistics in view, so you can compare candidates before you commit to a steed.
The information is gated behind a small piece of equipment. Craft a monocle, equip it, and then look at a tamed horse to see what it is really capable of. Llamas are covered too and come with extra information of their own.
The tamed-horse requirement is only a default and can be switched off in the configuration. Those settings live in config files that reload in-game a couple of seconds after you save them, so no restart is needed. The mod runs on Fabric for Minecraft 1.21.1 and expects Puzzles Lib and Fabric API alongside it.
