Vanilla Minecraft has nowhere to put an accessory. Trinkets answers that with a data-driven slot system: slot groups that stand for a body part or a wider area of the character, each holding the individual slots that mods ask for.
Six groups exist out of the box, covering head, chest, legs, feet, offhand and hand, and further groups can be added when a setup calls for them. Because slots only appear when something actually requests them, you never end up with a slot that is not used for anything.
The interface is deliberately quiet. It is built to be intuitive and accessible and does away with clutter, so managing accessories stays simple even in a heavily modded world.
