2D Projectiles gives every arrow you shoot a flat, sprite-like look by rendering the item texture instead of the usual three-dimensional model. Critical hit particles are switched off by default as well, so the projectile stays clean and readable in flight.
Firework rockets were reworked too. Their model is scaled up so it reads clearly at a distance and turns flat whenever the rocket is launched from a crossbow. Both arrows and rockets use a new roll animation whose spin depends on how fast the projectile is travelling, which makes fast shots feel noticeably different from slow arcing ones.
The default settings are tuned for vanilla textures, and everything important can be adjusted in the config file if you play with a resource pack. Normal arrows, spectral arrows and arrows added by other mods can each be given their own tip orientation, so the flat models line up correctly no matter what is on the string. Other projectiles such as the trident get the same flat treatment.
