Easy Anvils makes the anvil convenient rather than frustrating. Anything you place inside stays there when you close the interface instead of being handed back to your inventory, and the items sitting on the anvil are rendered on the block itself for a far more immersive look.
The bigger change is to the cost of keeping gear alive. Prior work penalties no longer escalate rapidly, repair costs stay reasonable far deeper into a world, and applying enchanted books is cheaper, so a favorite tool stays affordable to work on for much longer. Renaming is free, and item names accept formatting codes so you can give them custom colors and styling.
The blocks themselves hold up better too. Anvils chip and break far less often as you use them, and a damaged one can be restored with iron blocks instead of being replaced. If the defaults do not suit your world, the config exposes repair costs, prior work penalties, durability and the other mechanics for fine tuning.
