Immersive Armors adds 40 new armor items to the game and keeps adding more, all built to look like they belong next to vanilla gear. Rather than recolored copies of the sets already in Minecraft, these are visually enhanced armors, several of them with capes or custom models, and most carry an exclusive effect on top of their protection.
Each set plays differently. Wooden armor is primitive but effective, with good arrow and explosion protection for anyone tired of being sniped by skeletons, while heavy armor delivers high armor, extra toughness and barely any knockback at the cost of mobility. Slime armor bounces attackers away and softens explosions, warrior armor rewards fighting hurt with extra axe damage, more damage for every missing health point and a Berserk mode, and a full divine set fully blocks one attack every minute. Skeleton armor also stops skeletons from attacking you and harms anything that touches you, which makes it a quiet answer to one of the more annoying parts of early exploration.
The steampunk set is the most complex of the lot: the helmet runs a hostile radar that activates while sneaking, the chestplate adds an enhanced interface so you never lose track of time, the leggings grant a double jump and the boots cancel fall damage thanks to integrated steam jets. Prismarine armor turns guardian spikes against your attackers and provides Depth Strider even though the solid rock slows you down, while robe armor stays fireproof and burns anything that tries to hit you.
Everything fits vanilla habits. Crafting recipes are properly registered in the vanilla recipe book, enchanting, repairing and dyeing behave exactly as expected, and some sets can be dyed if you want a different color. Bone, iron blocks, prismarine shards, wool, slime, pistons, leather armor, a wither skeleton skull and wood are the items that unlock the recipes, so the sets slot into a normal survival run on Minecraft 1.21.1.
