Dirt is the block everyone throws away by the stack. Dirt Tools and Armor takes that joke to its logical conclusion and builds a complete gear line out of it: a sword plus helmet, chestplate, leggings and boots on the combat side, and a shovel, hoe, axe and pickaxe for the work you actually do all day.
The punchline lives in the numbers. Durability, damage and the rest of the values sit exactly where diamond equipment sits, so a player kitted out in dirt loses nothing at all in a fight or a mining run. They only look like they should. That gap between how the gear reads and how it performs is what makes the mod such an easy fit for noob-versus-pro style survival videos.
Crafting is deliberately unsurprising. Every one of the nine items can be made in survival, and the recipes follow the intuitive shapes you already know from iron, gold and diamond gear, while the finished items land in the vanilla Tools and Combat creative tabs rather than a menu of their own. Nothing else is added to the world, so there is nothing new to learn before you start.
