Construction Wand (Polymer Port) is an add-on rather than a mod that runs on its own. It sits on top of Construction Wand for Fabric, version 2.0.0 or newer, and adds Polymer support so the wand’s building tools work inside a Polymer based Minecraft setup.
The one visible difference is the interface. Because this is a Polymer port, the wand’s own screen is converted into an inventory menu, and the wand is set up through that menu instead of the original panel. The building behavior behind it is the one the base mod already provides.
Players are not locked into that compromise. Anyone who installs the regular version of the mod on their own client ends up with an experience identical to the non-Polymer release, with the real menus, keybinds and placement previews back in place, while everyone else keeps building through the inventory menu.
