Cooking mods fill your inventory with dishes that only ever exist as flat icons in a slot. Display Delight turns them into real decoration: every food item from Farmer’s Delight can be set down in the world as a 3D model, ready to lay out wherever the meal belongs.
Anything already served in a bowl or a bottle goes straight onto the ground with a sneak and a right-click. Foods without a container get the new Food Plates, craftable from any wooden slab, and the larger plates hold several servings of the smaller finger foods. Right-clicking a plate with an empty hand takes a single item and sneaking takes the whole plate, while an axe hides the plate itself when only the food should be on show.
None of the placed foods are entities or block entities, so a banquet hall packed with dishes stays cheap for the game to run. In survival, Silk Touch returns placed foods as items and wandering traders sell food block items, prioritising dishes from add-ons that are not installed. Compatibility reaches across a long list of Delight add-ons, from Expanded Delight, Delightful and Cultural Delights to Ocean’s Delight, End’s Delight and Farmer’s Respite.
