Respiteful is a food add-on that ties Neapolitan and Farmer’s Respite together, taking the teas and coffee of one and giving them the flavor treatment of the other. Each of the four flavors carries its own status effect, so the drink a player picks decides what their character is good at for the next few minutes.
Green tea supplies the new Vitality effect, which grants resistance against Wither and increases healing by 50% per level. Yellow tea brings Tenacity for extra Armor Toughness, black tea brings Maturity so that every meal is worth more nutrition, and coffee applies the Caffeinated effect that raises both movement and attack speed while resetting the time since the player last slept.
On top of the effects, Respiteful adds cakes for the tea flavors and a Snow Top version of every tea and coffee, standing in for the milkshakes of the base flavor mod. Snow Top Green Tea strengthens beneficial effects by one level and halves their duration, Snow Top Coffee does the same to harmful ones, while Snow Top Yellow Tea weakens harmful effects and Snow Top Black Tea weakens beneficial effects, both doubling how long they last. The conversion is restricted by config: by default an effect needs at least 20 seconds to be strengthened, and extensions stop at 32766 ticks.
Neapolitan ingredients also feed into new recipes, giving Minecraft players Mint Green Tea, Vanilla Milk Tea, Adzuki Milk Tea and Mocha Coffee to make. For consistency, a handful of configurable changes are applied to Farmer’s Respite as well: its related foods use the new flavor effects, every drink can be consumed even on a full hunger bar, and the updated Caffeinated effect is brought back to the older builds.
