Pickle Tweaks is a grab bag of vanilla-plus additions and quality-of-life tweaks, and one of them saves a lot of trips to the anvil: broken tools and weapons can be repaired straight in the crafting grid using their own repair materials, exactly the way an anvil would handle it. A companion tweak makes tools and weapons go ineffective one use before they break, which leaves a window to fix them instead of losing them.
The tool line-up grows in several directions from there. Paxels roll an axe, a pickaxe and a shovel into a single item, sickles mine plant material blocks across an area, and scythes harvest and replant crops in an area while doubling as area-of-effect weapons. Flint and emerald tool sets fill in materials vanilla Minecraft never offered, and diamond and emerald apples provide additional buffs on top of what a normal apple does.
Farming and general convenience get their share of attention too. Right-clicking a fully grown crop harvests and replants it on the spot, watering cans push crop growth faster over a 3×3 area or a 7×7 one in the reinforced variant, and an item magnet pulls dropped items and experience orbs towards you. Night vision goggles grant night vision while worn and come in basic and reinforced forms, meshes are used to craft flint from gravel, and coal and charcoal pieces cook exactly one item each.
Information gets an upgrade alongside the gear. Tooltips show the mining speed and mining level of tools, HWYLA and Jade pick up the harvest level of the block you are looking at, and a bow tooltip lists how much valid ammo is sitting in your inventory. Every one of these features sits behind its own config toggle so a modpack can take only the parts it wants, and a separate option can mark specific tools as useless so they will not break blocks or deal damage at all.
