Smidgeon o’ Bliss REMASTERED is a food mod built around a simple idea: the most interesting cooking happens where mods meet. Sitting on top of Farmer’s Delight and Brewin’ and Chewin’, it adds cross-mod dishes that draw on ingredients from elsewhere, while carrying plenty of its own content so it still holds up on a lighter setup.
The new ingredients come from corners of Minecraft that already exist but were never used for food. Dripleaves are cut from small and big dripleaf plants and grant an effect that makes you stronger as your hunger drops. Sculk items can be chopped into Sculk Tendrils, which apply a stacking effect to an entity and hit hard the moment it runs out. Prickly Pears grow in desert patches and act like sweet berries of the desert, while cacti that are not fully grown give up Cactus Paddles, edible raw at the cost of a prick or usable as a vegetable in most food recipes.
Elsewhere there are Peanuts to find in dry climates such as savannas and badlands, which raise armor and armor toughness once roasted, and Pitcher Roots, huge tubers pulled from pitcher plants once they are fully grown and eaten as slices or as snackable sticks. Builders get Countertops, decorative takes on stoves and cabinets that suit kitchen and bar interiors. There is no single theme running through the food list, and that is deliberate: some items hand out fresh potion effects and some drinks simply explode.
The full spread opens up when the mod sits beside other content mods, with foods keyed to Create, Farmer’s Respite, My Nether’s Delight, Miner’s Delight, Atmospheric, Environmental, Neapolitan, Upgrade Aquatic, Abnormals Delight, Savage & Ravage, Autumnity, Buzzier Bees and Frycook’s Delight. This release is a complete remake of the earlier version, rebuilt fully in Java instead of leaning on data driven items, and runs on Forge for Minecraft 1.20.x at around 0.92 MB.
