Minecraft does not handle GUI and HUD translucency the way resource packs expect, which is why semi transparent interface textures often end up looking wrong. Translucency Fix restores that support, so the transparency baked into a GUI or HUD texture is drawn the way the pack author actually intended.
In practice this means transparency focused interface packs such as AquaHUD finally look right. There is nothing else to install beyond the mod loader itself, and the change is confined to how the interface is drawn, so gameplay is untouched.
Compatibility is broad: the fix sits comfortably next to rendering mods like Exordium and ImmediatelyFast, and the only realistic clash would be another mod touching the same textured quad drawing path. The Fabric build targets Minecraft 1.17.1.
