Java 20 pulled in the Unicode CLDR v42 data, and with it a narrow no-break space quietly slipped into the dates that Minecraft prints. The visible result is an odd gap in the timestamps on the world selection screen and in the Realms list. NNBSP Fix patches those date format outputs so the text reads normally again.
The affected window is long-lived: the character was introduced in 11w49a and stayed until 23w17a, where a font rendering revamp finally dealt with it. This fix covers everything in between. Both ends of that range, 11w49a and 23w16a, have been tested and work correctly, which is a good sign for the many snapshots that sit between them.
Loader coverage is unusually wide for such a small file: Fabric from 1.14 to 1.19.4, Legacy Fabric from 1.3.1 to 1.13.2, and Ornithe from 1.1 to 1.14.4. There is also a mod-free route to the same result, setting the Java property java.locale.providers to FALLBACK, which is the approach used on speedrunning instances; JRE and COMPAT work for now as well, but they are set to be removed in the future.
