Loafy is a joke mod with one very committed idea: every item in Minecraft becomes bread. Weapons, tools, blocks and food all turn up in the hotbar and inventory as loaves, which quietly turns a familiar world into a guessing game.
From version 1.1.2 onward the effect is purely cosmetic. Items keep their real behaviour behind the bread texture, so a survival world or a self-imposed challenge run is still entirely playable, you just have to remember what is where. Earlier releases went further and replaced item functionality as well, which is why they are not a good fit for a long-running world unless you back it up first.
The disguise is not locked to bread either. A short in-game command lets you set any item ID as the replacement look, and the same value can be written into the mod’s config file ahead of time. That makes it easy to run a world where everything shows up as some other item entirely, whichever one suits the challenge you have in mind.
