Ranged Pumps does one thing and does it without ceremony. You place a single block and it starts clearing liquids out of the area under it. The scan begins one block below the pump and works outward in a rectangular spiral, taking the nearest liquid first, and vertically it reaches from the pump down to bedrock. Out of the box it reaches 64 blocks in every direction, which covers a large area around a single pump.
Control is deliberately simple. The pump works while it has no redstone signal and stops the moment one arrives, so a single redstone input is all the switch it needs. It draws Forge Energy by default, though the config can remove that requirement entirely. The internal tank holds 32 buckets out of the box and can be made larger or smaller in the config, and while it is full the pump simply waits. Right clicking it reports what it is doing and whether it is running.
Drained liquids are replaced with stone by default, and that behaviour can be switched off in the config if you would rather leave the space open. Collected fluid is pushed automatically into neighbouring tanks, or you can pull it out with pipes. Pumps are not chunkloaded by the mod itself, so keeping one working far from the player needs another mod for that.
