Horse Armor Stand does exactly what the name suggests: it carries the familiar armour stand idea across to horse gear. Instead of leaving a set of horse armour sitting in a chest, you can mount it on a stand and put your favourite pieces on show.
The stand comes from its own crafting recipe and is then used just like the classic vanilla version: place it down and fit the horse armour you want to display. Because it works with vanilla-looking armour, horse armour from other mods generally slots straight in, as long as it does not rely on a fancy custom model of its own.
GeckoLib and Fabric API are needed alongside it on Minecraft 1.21.1, and the mod itself stays tiny at well under a megabyte. One quirk is worth planning around: anyone running Fresh Animations Extensions needs an extra compatibility fix for the stand to work properly. The project is no longer being updated, but it works as it stands and anyone is welcome to build on it.
