EmbellishCraft is a decoration mod built around choice: it adds a long list of blocks whose main job is to make a build look finished. Most of them are purely visual, but a few can be interacted with, such as the chairs you sit on and the doors you open, so a decorated room still behaves like a room.
Six new rocks generate in the Overworld in pockets, the same way diorite, granite and andesite do. Basalt is a dark volcanic stone found near the bottom of the world, marble is a bright stone above sea level, gneiss is a bright rock around sea level that turns up more often than marble, slate is a dark bluish stone a little below sea level, larvikite is bluish and sits under sea level, and jade is a rare greenish stone above sea level that is the hardest of the set to find.
Furniture is where the mod spends most of its blocks. Chairs come in six wood types and couches in sixteen colours that link together like stairs, while tables and fancy tables snap to each other automatically when they share a wood type. Pillows act like small beds in sixteen colours, plates stack up to eight high, wooden crates keep their contents when broken, and table lamps in sixteen colours can be switched by hand or driven by redstone.
For industrial and modern builds there is a metal set: corrugated plates, bulkheads, beams and plates in iron and steel, ladders and vent ducts, plus suspended stairs in steel and wood and steel doors that need a redstone signal, including sturdy versions that stand up to explosions. Most crafting happens on the crafting grid, but the stonecutter can slice bricks, cobblestones, stones and pavings into their slab, stair, wall and pressure plate counterparts, and Just Enough Items makes the long recipe list much easier to browse. This Forge build covers Minecraft 1.13.2.
