Bedspreads is a small decoration mod with one clear job: it puts banner patterns on beds. If you have ever applied a banner to a shield, you already know the routine. Place a bed and the banner you want in the crafting grid, and the design comes out printed across the bed itself.
Because the pattern wraps the whole bed, the colour of the banner ends up mattering far more than the colour of the bed underneath. That leaves plenty of room for decorating a bedroom in Minecraft, since any pattern you can put on a banner can end up on the furniture.
Nothing about it is permanent. Crafting a decorated bed by itself separates the pair again, handing back the banner that was used and leaving the plain bed in the crafting grid, ready for a different design. At 0.07 MB it adds almost nothing to a build-focused world.
