BetterF3 swaps Minecraft’s original debug HUD for a version built around readability. The same technical information is still on screen, but it is presented in a far more human-readable form, and almost every part of the overlay can be customized to taste.
Everything on the screen is organized into modules. Each module can be recolored, repositioned, spaced out, added or deleted, individual lines can be switched off if they are not useful, and a whole module can be hidden in one step. A shadow is rendered behind the text by default, and the background sitting behind all of the lines has its own adjustable color.
Opening and closing the overlay is animated, with the speeds left up to you. With Cloth Config installed, pressing F3 together with M opens the settings directly in game, while ModMenu is an optional route into the options menu. The mod has been translated into multiple languages, so the readable wording carries over outside English.
