Trowel is a one item mod with a very specific job. Hold it, right click, and it places a random block pulled from your hotbar, so a wall built out of several block types comes out naturally mixed instead of forcing you to swap slots for every single placement.
The idea comes from the Trowel item in Quark, rewritten from scratch here as a standalone quality of life addition. Crafting takes one stick and two ingots, which keeps the tool cheap to put together.
At roughly 0.01 MB this is about as small as a Minecraft mod gets. It runs on Fabric and Quilt for 1.21.1, needs Fabric Language Kotlin installed with it, and includes a Ukrainian translation.
