Sooty Chimneys for Fabric puts working chimneys on top of your Minecraft builds. Four variants are included, made of brick, stone brick, terracotta and copper, and each one sends smoke particles up into the sky, so a rooftop finally looks like something is burning below it.
The smoke is not a static effect. Wind direction and strength push the plume around, and the weather matters: wind picks up during rain and thunder and settles down in the evening. Chimneys also get dirty as soot collects on them over time, and a quick scrape with an axe cleans them up again, sometimes leaving a black dye behind.
Control is deliberately simple. Feeding a chimney a redstone signal stops the smoke, which makes the effect easy to wire into an existing redstone setup, and right-clicking with an empty hand toggles the flow by hand. This is an unofficial Fabric port of the original Sooty Chimneys and needs both Fabric API and Fabric Language Kotlin installed alongside it.
