A campfire that keeps burning happily through the rain is one of those small vanilla details that breaks immersion the moment you notice it. Rain should extinguish campfires fixes exactly that: once it starts raining, any campfire sitting outside a building goes out, just as a real fire would. Campfires that are inside carry on burning as normal, so your base lighting and cooking setups are not disturbed.
The scope is deliberately narrow. The mod changes one behaviour and leaves everything else about the game alone, which makes it easy to drop into an existing survival world or a large modpack without worrying about conflicts or a performance cost. The whole thing weighs in at roughly 0.01 MB.
Everything is configurable, so server owners and pack makers can decide how strict the rule should be before players ever see it, and a dedicated configuration guide covers the available options. This Fabric build targets Minecraft 1.15.2 and is explicitly free to use in modpacks, with suggestions for further changes openly invited.
