Cut Through fixes one of the small annoyances of Minecraft combat. When a mob is standing in tall grass, a swing tends to break the plant instead of landing on your target. With this mod installed the attack passes cleanly through blocks that have no collision shape and reaches the enemy behind them.
Because grass and similar blocks without a collision shape no longer absorb your hits, fights in overgrown terrain stay smooth and uninterrupted, and the block itself is left standing where it was.
Performance was clearly a priority here. The mod adds only a negligible amount of extra calculation compared to vanilla and is written to cooperate with other mods that rely on the game’s hit targeting system, so it slots into a bigger setup without getting in the way. It has to be installed on the client, Puzzles Lib needs to be present as well, and this NeoForge build for Minecraft 1.21.1 weighs only 0.02 MB.
