ItemSwapper rethinks how you pull an item out of your inventory in Minecraft. Instead of opening the inventory screen and dragging stacks around, you hold a hotkey, bound to R by default, and a swap interface appears. What it offers depends on the item already in your main hand, and items with no mapping do not bring up a menu at all.
Choosing never takes you out of the game. Move the mouse to select from the wheel, or use the scroll wheel to run through a list, then let go of the hotkey and the item swaps into your main hand. Pressing the middle mouse button on a selected entry in the wheel switches across to related items where they exist, and opening the interface with an empty hand simply shows your inventory instead.
Block palettes are shown in the circular wheel, while dynamic items such as tools, food and potions appear as a scrollable list. The mod can also reach into shulker boxes you are carrying, which requires the mod to be installed on the server as well. All of the groupings come from resource packs, so the whole item mapping can be customized or extended to fit your own build style and mod list.
