Improved Pillager Outpost takes the standard pillager outpost of vanilla Minecraft and rebuilds it into a formidable, fully realized tower. The new structure climbs through several floors with detailed architecture and strategic layouts, so raiding one becomes a proper fight through a far more challenging environment.
Four exterior variants keep the structures from repeating themselves: a normal, well-maintained tower, an overgrown one reclaimed by nature under vines and foliage, a battle-worn damaged one, and an overgrown damaged version that mixes both into a rugged look. The top of the tower has two states as well, with a lit signal fire marking an outpost that is alert and ready for battle, and an extinguished one suggesting the garrison is less vigilant.
Balance stays deliberately close to the base game. The loot tables are unchanged and no new items are introduced, although the extra chests scattered across the floors give you more chances to gather resources, and the enemies inside are the same ones, with no changes to their difficulty or behavior. It can be installed as a mod or dropped in as a datapack, it works with Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, and it is fully compatible with multiplayer servers.
