Epic Fight adds complex game mechanics and real fighting styles to Minecraft, replacing the usual trading of hits with something far more deliberate. A pinch of souls-like combat and unique animation handling give the game a look and a rhythm it does not normally have, drawing on famous titles such as the Dark Souls series, Sekiro and Elden Ring.
Every entity in the world gets new and challenging fighting mechanics, so even familiar mobs have to be read and answered instead of simply out-clicked. Skills can be found, learned and mastered to unlock whole new ways of fighting, and craftable weapons each arrive with their own skills and playstyles.
The mod can look intimidating to anyone who has never played a souls-like, but that wide spread of weapons and skills means every player can settle into an approach that fits them. Configuration is generous too, with most options adjustable in-game without a restart, and it works just as well solo as it does with friends in a raid party.
