Ribbits turns the swamp into inhabited territory. Entire villages appear there, built for and filled with tiny frog villagers called ribbits, which finally gives one of Minecraft’s quieter biomes a reason to be explored rather than simply crossed on the way somewhere else.
The ribbits themselves have plenty of character. They sometimes gather in groups, sit down and play music together, and you are welcome to join in with them. Merchant and fisherman ribbits will trade for a range of goods, including the new ribbit plant blocks and maracas. Sorcerer ribbits occasionally cast spells that buff the player, and gardener ribbits spend their days watering crops.
Like ordinary villagers, ribbits head home once night falls. If you would rather one of them lived somewhere else, right-clicking it with amethyst resets its home point to wherever it is standing, so relocating a ribbit costs nothing more than a piece of amethyst. This release is a Fabric build for Minecraft 1.21.1 and comes in at 2.24 MB.
