Fight or Flight is a Cobblemon add-on that removes the safety net from encounters in the world. Attack a pokemon, or fail an attempt to catch one, and it reacts instead of standing there: some bolt away across the terrain while others turn around and fight back.
Which way an individual pokemon goes is decided by its own numbers rather than a coin flip. Its offensive stats compared to its defensive stats, its level and its nature all feed into the outcome. Particularly aggressive pokemon do not even wait to be provoked and will go after any player who wanders too close.
Getting hit hurts in more ways than raw damage, because each type carries its own effect. Fire types set you alight and ice types apply freezing, poison types poison you and psychic types leave you levitating. Fairy, fighting and steel types apply weakness, ground and rock types bring mining fatigue, ghost and dark types cover you in darkness, electric and water types slow you down and bug types cause hunger. Flying types add extra knockback, dragon types deal increased damage and grass types gain regeneration on hit. This Forge build targets Minecraft 1.20.x.
